Like in the study of Medicine, you need to memorize a lot of terms. Like in the study of Engineering, you have to solve a lot of problems. Like in the study of Business, you have to be keen about current issues. Like in the study of Education, you have to understand who you are dealing with. But unlike any of them, in the study of Law, you have to combine each one and devise a winning strategy all time. More than a warning, this is challenge. If you want to study, you have to want it really bad. I have three A’s for you to bear in mind: Being Articulate, Being Analytical, and Being Attentive.

It is important to be articulate because winning an argument depends on this. You have to speak with your mind and not with your mouth alone. You need to conduct substantial research for you to give a credible speech. Only with articulation can you break down the reply of your opponent. You can only justify your point if you are knowledgeable enough.

Having an analytical mind is an important key in uncovering the low points of an opponent’s notion. You have to consider every term used and to use it to your advantage. If you are able to analyze well, then you will be able to interpret a situation, leading to how you are to win the case. Since you are only human, it is understandable if you experience a lapse in memory, but by being analytical, you can compensate for this weakness.

An overlooked detail can be the cause of losing a case. Thus it is important to be keen on the small things. You have to attentive to everything around you – what you see, what you hear, what you write.
